As expected this assignment will be done using Redline Auto Service as a model.
What keywords are important?
There are several important keywords and strings when it comes to search strings for this organization. A list of the most vital and why are as follows:
Searches for automobile repair or implications of it - This is important because this is the service the organization provides.
Searches involving Lansing and surrounding areas - Currently this company has a single shop in Lansing so the target audience is customers around that area.
Searches with Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, BMW, and other foreign models, as well associated model types - This organization specializes in foreign cars, particularly European. This doesn't mean they don't work on all brands, just that they make a special effort to target owners of foreign makes.
Searches for qualified, respectable, and trustworthy mechanics - These are important things for many customers when it comes to automotive repair work.
What outlets matter?
On the web there are two primary outlets that are significant to this organization. This first is social networking sites such as facebook and twitter. These sites let the company interact more closely with its customers. In addition to this there are review sites which let the company see what customers are saying and provide important feedback on what is being done well and what may need to be improved upon to increase customer satisfaction.
What are the customer hot buttons?
Major hot buttons within this area of work have pretty much remained the same since, well forever. These are affordability and trust. Automotive repair as a whole has a stereotypically bad reputation when it comes to the price and whether or not the work done was valued at that. Because of this customers need to feel they are getting the most for their money while being able to trust what the mechanic and/or shops are saying. It is important to be seen as trustworthy and prices fairly in order to remain competitive in this market.
Michael, Great choice. I can agree with you on your hot button. Their are a lot of talks about mechanics and their ridiculous prices and it is stereotypical. Thats why its always good to find someone that you trust and has a "car guru" attitude and education about vehicles. I think this blog is well thought out and reliable.
ReplyDeleteGood post!
Michael,
ReplyDeleteI like your hot buttons as well -- those are certainly the things I look for when searching for auto service.
I would also point out that more generalized terms like "auto repair," "auto service," "auto service near me," and the company name would ALL be valuable keywords to Google and the other major engines.
Good post!
Love your "What outlets matter". If we as students recognize that Facebook, twitter and all the other social media communication sources work and has worked for the companies that used them to enhance there businesses, why have other companies not caught on. Well i guess they have to wait until we graduate then things will change. LOL
