The event I choose for this assignment was a seminar put on about professional talent development.
Who were the sponsors? (if you remember)
The sponsors for this event were Lansing Community College and JMann Consulting Group. They worked together to offer this event for no cost to the attendees. The main audience was small to medium local business owners but really anyone could have gone as long as there was seats available.
Did their sponsorship of the event affect your perception of them? If so, how?
It did change my perception of both organizations in a positive way. The message alone that was presented was an interesting and good to see. In addition it was free and breakfast was even offered. It's nice to see organizations cooperate for the benefit of local businesses and students.
What other companies would have been a good fit for sponsoring the event? why?
Any small business that develops employee talent could have been a good fit for sponsoring this event. They could have shared experience and the important of such activities which helps reinforce the ideas that were being presented.
If you had the chance to do business with either sponsor, would you? why?
ReplyDeleteWell, I have done business with LCC technically as I was/am a student there. I would continue though but mostly from past experiences that this event really didn't impact. I would consider the JMann consulting Group as an option if I was a small business owner however. I like some of the work they do, particularly their program aimed at placing veterans in fitting positions.
DeleteIt's funny how free refreshment would get people to come out..lol But yeah I understand how this sponsorship would be beneficial. Everyone sharing ideas collectively, building networks, and learning from one another. Good Study!
